Founder - Lynnette Terrett

For over 26 years, Lyn has been refocusing organisations to achieve Strategic Data Advantages often using spatial technologies to yield the greatest return for her clients.

Lyn Terrett is passionate about leveraging mobile, cloud, spatial and analytics to deliver quality data for business efficiencies, improved services and customer engagement and business growth. Her clients have benefited from unique project perspectives to:

Lyn is a founding Director of RapidMap and Iconyx companies who are highly respected in the Spatial industry for innovation and technical excellence in unique and challenging projects across diverse industry verticals; and post 911 was the Director of Spatial Technologies at National Geographic Society for several years in the USA to support the use of mapping in Homeland Security projects, Critical Infrastructure identification and for Counter Terrorism.

As part of her contribution to the Australian spatial industry Lyn actively engaged on the Boards of SIBA (Spatial Industry Business Association) and CSQC (Consulting Surveyor Quality Corporation), and until recently was Chair of Destination Spatial to ensure a skilled future workforce.

Founder – Peter Terrett (MEI, AFAMI, CPM)

Peter Terrett worked as a Geodetic and Topographic surveyor for the Victorian State Government before going into business in 1991 focusing on providing hardware, software, consultancy and training in GPS for land base professionals giving him has 35+ years experience in the Industry.

The business quickly evolved into providing services of mapping and asset data capture. This facilitated the need for innovation and a software division was created to meet this need. The business works throughout Australia and in parts of America.

Peter has lead the business in both market and product innovation. He has presented at many conferences and presented lectures at several universities. He is the current chair of the Spatial industry business Association (SIBA) in Victoria.

The businesses has been the recipient of many awards including AusIndustry Certificate of Achievement in recognition of innovation, the Robert Hoddle Award for innovation in regards to the Longford Gas Explosion and a 2008 and 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016 Spatial Excellence Award and an iAward (ICT) in 2014.

Peter’s academic achievements include Master Degree, Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM), Alumni of Swinburne and Berkeley Universities. Peter also hold a private pilot’s license with multi engine endorsement.

Brendan McNamara

Brendan has a Diploma of Engineering Surveying, and over 40 years of experience in surveying, mapping and GIS, and has been with RapidMap Services for over 22 years.

Brendan role is the General Manager and Senior Project Manager for RapidMap Services.

Having a practical background in surveying and remote sensing, Brendan is able to analyse, scope and guide projects to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget.

Brendan’s role involves vetting, scoping and writing tender responses, providing a project direction role across a series of projects and liaising with clients before, during and after successful completion of projects.

Brendan has had extensive experience in project management of large scale asset data capture, GIS, data analysis and map production projects.

Projects range from municipal asset data capture, including drainage, open space assets, parking, street furniture, and public lighting; GIS projects sourcing data, creation of data, data analysis, and production of maps; and through to state wide road networks involving all associated assets including road markings, signage, and safety equipment.
